Arbequina — Spanish (Catalonia). Self-pollinating, high and consistent fruitfulness, early bearing. Low vigor tree considered excellent choice for high-density plantings, oil output medium 22% of good quality. Resistant to frosts and with high adaptability to different climates and soils.

Frantoio — Italian (Tuscany). Translated from Italian as Olive Mill; this classic Tuscan variety produces a very flavorful sharp oil. Self-pollinating, high and consistent fruitfulness, medium vigor tree. Fruit is average in size and late maturing. High oil output: 25% Excellent organoleptic qualities.

Manzanilla — Spanish Origin. Olive oil is produced throughout the world and is very well accepted on the international market. Known for ease of processing due to its firm flesh and easiness of pit. Gives heaviest crops in mild climates with little frost. Self-fertilizing, high fruitfulness can be alternate bearing, medium vigor tree. Fruit is Medium to large in size. Oil output is low; 15% of good quality.

Pendolino — Italian (Tuscany). Sterile pollinator, approximately 10% required per orchard. High fruitfulness; not as consistent bearing as other varieties. Small fruit size with oil output: 22%. Considered universal pollinator of self-sterile varieties.

 

Coratina — Italian (Apulia). Sterile pollinator, high and consistent fruitfulness, late maturing. Excellent organoleptic qualities (high polyphenol content). Oil output is high: 25%. Fruit is average in size and generally mid to late season ripening. Trees are medium size with good drought and cold resistance.

Leccino — Italian. Somewhat milder than Frantoio, rich, buttery and distinctively olive tasting. Sterile pollinator, principally Pendolino, although Frantoio are effective. High and consistent fruitfulness, good oil quality, oil output high: 24%. Tree vigorous and strong (resistant to wind damage). Fruit is medium sized and early maturing.

Mission — Mexican origin. Widely used table olive with fresh tartness with a delicately sweet fruitiness. Used in many of today's California produced Olive Oils. Self-fertilizing, highly fruitful but alternate bearing, vigorous tree. Fruit is medium size. Medium oil output: 19-24% of good quality. Very cold hardy.
